국제통계기구(ISI) 통계인 윤리강령

2010년 10월 20일은 UN이 정한 '제 1회 세계 통계의 날(World Statistics Day)'입니다. International Statistical Institute(ISI)에서 이 날 발표한 통계인 윤리강령의 한국어 번역본을 준비하였습니다.

(통계인 윤리강령)

통계인으로서 공유해야 하는 가치 (Shared Professional Values)
1. 존중 (Respect)
2. 전문성 (Professionalism)
3. 정직성과 무결성 (truthfulness and Integrity)

 

윤리강령 (Ethical Principles)
1. 객관성을 추구함 (Pursuing Objectivity)
2. 책무와 역할을 명확히 함 (Clarifying Obligation and Roles)
3. 대안을 공평하게 평가함 (Assessing Alternatives Impartially)
4. 이해관계에 충돌이 있는 경우 (Conflicting Interests)
5. 미리 예정된 결과를 피함 (Avoiding Preempted Outcomes)
6. 법률적 보호를 받는 정보를 보호함 (Guarding Privileged Information)
7. 전문가로서의 역량을 나타냄 (Exhibiting Professional Competence)
8. 통계에 대한 신뢰를 유지하도록 함 (Maintaining Confidence in Statistics)
9. 방법과 결과를 공표하고 재검토함 (Exposing and Reviewing Methods and Findings)
10. 연구 강령을 교류함 (Communicating Ethical Principles)
11. 학문의 무결성에 대한 책임을 짐 (Bearing Responsibility for the Integrity of the Discipline)
12. 실험·조사 대상자의 이익을 보호함 (Protecting the Interests of Subjects)

 

불필요한 강제를 피함 (Avoiding Undue Intrusion)
충분한 설명에 근거한 동의를 확보함 (Ensuring Informed Consent)
충분한 정보에 근거한 동의의 질 (Qualification to Informed Consent)
자료의 기밀을 유지함 (Maintaining Confidentiality of Records)
신원 공개를 금지함 (Inhibiting Disclosure of Identity)
